AET has conducted dozens of waste audit studies for various organizations across Ontario including Research In Motion, Honeywell Aerospace, GE Energy Nuclear Products, Linamar Corporation, hospitals and school boards. Each audit is specifically tailored to the client's needs, with particular emphasis put on segregating the facility into functional areas that will help identify opportunities for improvement. Typically, waste and recyclables are collected over a 24 – 72 hour period, labeled according to the area within the facility where the material was generated. Waste from each area is audited separately and sorted into its various material categories. After conducting the physical waste audit study, AET compiles, analyzes and reports on the findings. Waste audit results reporting includes a summary of findings from each functional area, including top 5 waste categories generated in each area, along with combined generation rates, capture rates and diversion rates for the entire facility. In addition to reporting on the waste audit results, AET develops a waste reduction work plan for each facility, outlining specific recommendations and goals for reducing overall waste generation and increasing waste diversion. In Ontario, these waste audits and waste reduction work plans ensure that our clients remain in compliance with Ontario Regulation 102/94.
